Our Mission

At HBCU Dance Affair INC., our mission is to provide exceptional dance instruction that inspires and empowers our students to achieve their full potential. We firmly believe in the transformative power of dance as an art form.

Our Company

As a registered 501c3 nonprofit, HBCU Dance Affair INC., extends its impact nationwide through internships, educational scholarships, and dance services. Our internships offer invaluable job training and networking within the vibrant HBCU dance community. Tailored scholarships support eligible high school seniors enrolling in HBCUs, covering tuition and books. Our dance services include comprehensive technique training, field show presence, parades, and stand routines through specialized workshops and professional coaching.

Our Event

HBCU Dance Affair workshops are a great opportunity for both male and female dancers to immerse themselves in the rich and diverse HBCU dance cultures. By participating in our workshops, dancers can acquire valuable skills and knowledge that will significantly increase their chances of being selected for HBCU dance teams. Additionally, participants have the chance to connect with other driven HBCU dancers and showcase their talents through performance, competitions, and media coverage. These workshops aim to promote unity, diversity, and equality within the dance community.

Founded in 2017 by Kentrell Collins, a native of Mobile, AL, and current CEO, HBCU Dance Affair INC., is committed to excellence. Kentrell, pursuing a master's in business administration at Alabama State University, has dedicated himself passionately to dance, evolving from private practice sessions to leading our organization. As CEO, Kentrell oversees major decisions, and operational management, and sets the company's strategic direction for long-term success.
